COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- On the eve of beginning the 2025 Franklin & Marshall field hockey season, junior goalkeeper Meghan Dole, junior forward Caitlin Hoover, and senior defender Kat Thistlewaite were named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Watchlist powered by Performance Sports Events (PSE).
Meghan Dole earns her first NFHCA Watchlist selection following a 2024 season that produced an All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention team spot. Among the Centennial Conference's goalkeepers, she ranked first in shutouts (6), third in save percentage (.803), third in goals against average (1.24), and fifth in saves per game (4.95). In 2023, she was the Centennial Rookie of the Year and earned a First-Team selection, while she was named to the NFHCA All-Region Second Team in that year. That year, she led the conference in saves (95) and saves per game (5.28) while ranking third in goals against average (1.24). She had the 14th best save percentage in DIII (.812) while totaling six shutouts. In her career, she's a two-time Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week and one-time NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week.
Caitlin Hoover places on this year's NFHCA Watchlist following a 2024 season where she was named to the NFHCA All-Region First Team and All-Centennial Conference First Team. Among Centennial Conference players, she was tied for fifth in points (26), tied for sixth in assists (6), eighth in goals (10), and tied for ninth for game-winning goals (2), while she led the Diplomats in these categories plus shots (51) and shots on goal (37). Through two seasons, she's made 36 starts and 38 appearances where she's totaled 19 goals, eight assists, 46 points, and three game-winning goals.Â
Two-time All-Centennial Conference defender Kat Thistlewaite lands on the NFHCA Watchlist for the first time. She was on the conference's second team in 2023 and honorable mention team in 2022, earning the Centennial Conference's Rookie of the Year Award that season. That year, she was also named to Synapse Sports' All-Freshman team. Thistlewaite started all 19 games last year for F&M, contributing towards all eight shutouts with five defensive saves, which was tied for the second-most in the conference. Across 55 collegiate starts and 56 appearances, she's been involved in 23 shutouts with seven career defensive saves. Thistlewaite is also a one-time Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

This list is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-American, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
