9/16/2025 1:02:00 PM

LANCASTER, Pa.- A week with nine total points, a hat-trick, and two game-winning goals led to junior forward Caitlin Hoover being named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Hoover posted nine points on four goals, including two game-winning goals, and one assist across road wins against Elizabethtown (7-0, Wednesday) and Catholic (3-1, Saturday) last week. In the win against Elizabethtown, Hoover recorded her third career hat trick, scoring the first goal of the game while adding to the lead with goals in the second and third quarters. In the win at Catholic, she assisted the opening goal from Hannah Fitzgerald in the first quarter before breaking a 1-1 tie with a goal in the third quarter, assisted by Fitzgerald.

Among Centennial Conference players, Hoover currently leads in goals per game (1.2, 6 total) and points per game (2.80, 14 total), while she is tied for second in game-winning goals (2).

Hoover is the second Diplomat to be named a player of the week in 2025 after Meghan Dole was named Defensive Player of the Week seven days ago.

The No. 14 Franklin & Marshall field hockey team (5-0) remains undefeated through the first three weeks of 2025. They continue non-conference play this week by hosting Alvernia on Wednesday, September 17, before traveling to Washington & Lee on Saturday, September 20.
