WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The (RV) Franklin & Marshall men's golf team ended the opening round of the Northeast Elite Tournament, hosted at Williamsport Country Club, with a team score of 21-over par to sit in a tie for eighth out of 16 teams competing. McDaniel currently leads the tournament with a team score of one-under par after 18 holes.

Sebastian Botero led the Diplomats with two birdies and 13 pars to shoot three-over par and end the day tied for 22nd in the field of 90 golfers. Oliver Clark and Max Silverman tied each other for 40th as both Diplomats carded five-over par for the round. Silverman tallied three birdies and seven pars, while Clark notched one birdie and 12 pars on the day. Wayne He recorded one birdie and eight pars to shoot eight-over par, placing himself in a tie for 61st. Pablo Rodriguez registered four birdies and five pars to card a nine-over par to conclude the round tied for 71st.
