CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team had an impressive start to the Dickinson Fall Invitational, highlighted by the Diplomats' "A" team shooting 13-under par to lead the field of 21 teams. F&M's "B" team carded a team score of three-over par to sit in fifth in the standings.
Max Silverman and
Pablo Rodriguez were stellar in Sunday's round, finishing in a tie for first place by shooting five-under par. Both Silverman and Rodriguez carded six birdies and 11 pars each to conclude the opening day at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club.
Jake Kurtzman shot three-under with five birdies and 11 pars to end the day in fourth in the field of 109 competitors.
Oliver Clark followed by finishing the round with four birdies to earn a score of even-par and place in 15th.
Wayne He capped the round for the Diplomats' "A" team by shooting four-over par to end the day in 50th.
Ryan Klarreich,
Harrison Brown, and
Alex Gore finished in a tie for 15th to lead Franklin & Marshall's "B" team in the opening round. Brown ended the day with five birdies, followed by Gore with three and Klarreich with two.
Sebastian Botero carded two birdies en route to a three-over par score to place in 39th.
Riley Norton rounded out the day for the Diplomats, shooting five-over par to end the round in 58th.
Franklin & Marshall looks to finish strong in the final round, teeing off at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
