CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team wrapped up a strong showing at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, highlighted by the Diplomats' "A" team shooting a 281 (seven-under par) to win the first tournament of the fall. F&M's "B" team tallied a team score of three-over par to finish the weekend seventh in the team standings.
F&M's "A" team broke the school record for lowest-round score by carding a 275 (13-under) on Sunday. The Diplomats' 281 on Monday completed the program's lowest score (556) in a two-day tournament.
Max Silverman led the Diplomats throughout the weekend, finishing in a tie for first with Dickinson's Collin McMahon-Shea. Both players carded a 136 (eight-under par) for the tournament, but McMahon-Shea won the tiebreaker to top the individual leaderboard.
Pablo Rodriguez shot a 70 on Monday to bring his overall score to 137 (seven-under par), placing himself in third out of 109 competitors.
Oliver Clark matched his first-round score by carding a three-under par to end the weekend in sixth place.
Jake Kurtzman notched a 74 on Monday to place in 10th, while
Wayne He shot a 73 to finish in a tie for 29th.
Sebastian Botero led Franklin & Marshall's "B" team by finishing Monday even-par to end the weekend in 21st.
Ryan Klarreich shot a 77 in the final round to bring his overall score to five-over par, placing in a tie for 29th.
Harrison Brown concluded his first-collegiate tournament by ending the weekend with a score of 150 (six-over par) to tie for 36th.
Alex Gore followed with an overall score of 151 (seven-over par) to end the Dickinson Fall Invitational in a tie for 42nd.
Riley Norton wrapped up the weekend with a 154 (10-over par) to place in a tie for 57th.
Franklin & Marshall to continue its hot start to the season when it competes in The Gauntlet, starting on Sunday, September 21.
