CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team opened its spring slate competing in the opening round of the Dickinson Spring Invitational at Carlisle Barracks Golf Course on Sunday. The F&M "A" team shot a 278 (10-under par) to lead the field of nine teams through 18 holes. The Diplomats' "B" team sits in a tie for seventh after carding a team-score of 296 (eight-over par).
All five members of the "A" team finished their round in the top-10 of the individual standings.
Wayne He and
Max Silverman both carded a 69 (three-under par) to tie for third in the field of 86 golfers.
Oliver Clark,
Jake Kurtzman, and
Winston Thai closely follow after they all recorded a 70 round-score (two-under par) to tie each other for seventh place after day one.
David McNamara led the "B" squad with an opening round score of 71 (one-under par) to sit in a tie for 10th.
Sebastian Botero tallied a 74 (two-over par) on Sunday to tie for 28th in the field.
Aaron Liu registered a 75 score (three-over par) to tie for 33rd, while
Riley Norton notched a 76 (four-over par) to tie for 39th in the standings.
Harrison Brown rounded out the Diplomats with a 79 (seven-over par) to tie for 56th after one round of play.
Franklin & Marshall looks to finish strong as it tees-off round two of the Dickinson Spring Invitational on Monday.
