WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team wrapped up the Sam Snead Collegiate Tournament at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club on Tuesday. The Diplomats carded its best round-score of the tournament, shooting 13-over par on the final day to bring its overall score to 47-over par. With that score, F&M placed itself in a tie for 11th with Wittenberg. Carnegie Mellon finished with an impressive two-over par in the three-round tournament, leading all 21 teams competing at the par-71, 6,878-yard course.
Max Silverman matched his second-round score of two-over par to tie for eighth with a four-over par score for the tournament. Silverman would be the only Diplomat to place in the top-10 of the individual standings.
Wayne He saved his best round for the final round as he carded one-over par to shoot six-over for the tournament, placing himself in a tie for 14th in the field of 108 individual golfers.
David McNamara notched a three-over par in the third round to bring his overall score to 19-over, tying for 76th in the tournament.
Jake Kurtzman followed tallying a 21-over par for the tournament to tie for 82nd in the standings.
Oliver Clark rounded out the Diplomats with an overall score of 22-over par to tie for 87th in the three-round event.
Franklin & Marshall returns to Bent Creek Country Club on Sunday to host the F&M Spring Invitational.
