ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team took second place at the Blue Jay Tune-Up. Only host Elizabethtown scored more team points than the Diplomats as F&M won six of the events that were contested. This meet additionally served as the team's final preparations for next week's Centennial Conference Outdoor Championship.

Hayden Adams won both the high jump (1.53m) and pole vault (2.90m) on Saturday. Adams cleared 1.53 meters in the high jump as the indoor conference medalist posted the sixth-best outdoor mark in program history. Jumps were an overall strength of the team as Amanda Imhauser's best long jump was marked at 4.87 meters to place her third in the field. Imhauser did add a first-place finish to her day on the track as she won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.83 seconds.

Mackenzie Ward competed in the javelin during back-to-back days. Ward was accepted into the prestigious Penn Relays on Friday where the reigning All-American was 22nd in a field comprised almost entirely of Division I athletes. Ward came back with her best throw of the weekend at 38.35 meters on Saturday to win the meet at Elizabethtown. Other scorers in the throwing events at Elizabethtown featured Imhauser placing fifth in the javelin (29.00), while Max McCoy was third in the shot put (11.79m) and eighth in the discus (31.41m).

Lauren Dunnigan and Annalise Kauffman also won individual events on the track. Dunnigan won the 100 meter dash with an identical time of 12.59 seconds during both the preliminary and final heat. Dunnigan would also finish second in the 200 meters (26.77). Kauffman led four Diplomats who scored in the 800 meters as she won that race in a time of 2:21.00. Jordyn Collie (2:23.96) was second in the 800m, with Emily Jones (2:32.02) and Georgia Hodgson (2:36.39) earning top six finishes.

Another top 10 mark was recorded for Tara Silverman in the 1,500 meters as her time of 4:38.58 placed her second on Saturday and gives her the ninth-fastest time in school history. Anna Atticks was a third-place finisher in the steeplechase with her time of 12:54.41, while Abby Bachman and Maddy Schultz ran to top four finishes in the 400 meter hurdles with respective times of 1:13.97 and 1:15.27. Lillian Williams added team points on the track with a sixth-place finish in the 400 meters (1:02.42).

Women's track & field will now turn its attention to the upcoming Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Diplomats placed a program-best third as a team during the CC indoor championship meet and will be looking to impress once again when the outdoor championship begins on Friday, May 1 and continues through Sunday, May 3.
