Women's Track & Field Opens Regional Championship Meet

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team got a scoring performance from Tara Silverman to highlight day one of the All-Atlantic Regional Championships. The meet marks the Diplomats' last chance on the schedule to qualify for the national championships.

Silverman earned a fourth-place finish in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:36.36. Silverman posted the fourth-fastest outdoor 5,000 meter time in school history just last month. Lauren Dunnigan competed in both the 100 meter (12.57) and 100 meter hurdles (15.41). The school co-record holder in the hurdles placed 11th on Wednesday.

After day one of the heptathlon, Amanda Imhauser is in 11th place with 2,261 points. Her highest scoring event on Wednesday was the 100 hurdles where she recorded 662 points with a time of 16.43 seconds. Her highest placement among her peers came when she was eighth in the shot put (9.45m).

Imhauser will wrap up the heptathlon on Thursday, while Annalise Kauffman (800m), Lillian Williams (400H), and Max McCoy (shot put) will contest their events at the regional meet.
