WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Carding a 285 (three-under par) in Sunday's round, the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team became Centennial Conference (CC) Champions for the 15th time in program history. The Diplomats fired an 853 (11-under par) for the tournament to set a new CC Championship record at Waynesboro Country Club this weekend. F&M has now won five of the last six Centennial Conference Tournaments, securing a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the 18th time in program history.
Max Silverman was the top-finisher for the Diplomats, tallying a 73 in the third round to bring his overall score to five-under par for a fourth-place finish. Silverman recorded two birdies and 14 pars to earn a spot on the All-Centennial team.
Jake Kurtzman had the best round for the Diplomats on Sunday, recording one eagle, four birdies, and 12 pars for a 67 score. Kurtzman ended the tournament two-under par to place sixth in the field of 40 individual competitors.
Wayne He shot a 72, while
Oliver Clark notched a 75 in the final round to tie each other for eighth with a 216 tournament score.
David McNamara rounded out the day with a 73 to bring his overall score to 225, tying for 20th in the standings.
