Silverman Places Second in 10K Friday at Centennial Conference Championships

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Tara Silverman ran to second-place finish in the 10,000 meters on Friday night to give the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team a great start at the 2026 Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships. Hayden Adams also scored in the pole vault with an eighth-place finish as F&M is tied for fifth place with nine points following a very brief day one schedule.

Silverman took second in the 10,000 meter event to earn second-team All-Centennial Conference honors with her silver medal performance. She crossed the line in a time of 37:08.03 to record the second-fastest time in school history.

Adams added another point to the team score as she cleared 3.05 meters in the pole vault to finish in eighth place. Although the event did not finish, Amanda Imhauser is currently second in the heptathlon with 2,273 points and just three events remaining on Saturday. Imhauser had a personal best in the 100 meter hurdles (16.13) and was second among her fellow multi-athletes in the shot put (9.89m). She additionally cleared 1.38 meters in the high jump and posted a time of 28.90 seconds in the 200 meters.

Kicking off the throwing events, Max McCoy was 14th in the hammer throw as she posted a personal-best mark of 37.73 meters and moves up to the sixth-ranked individual in school history. Savannah Harriott was 23rd in the hammer after her best throw was marked at 25.62 meters.

Day two of the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be Saturday as the conference meet wraps up on Sunday afternoon.
