LANCASTER, Pa.- Four Diplomats earned a spot on the 2026 All-Centennial Conference softball team, as
Abby Favazza and
Kate DelGrippo claimed First-Team spots, while
Ainsley McClure and
Morgan Risnychok earned places on the Second Team.
Megan Wiarda represented F&M on the conference's All-Sportmanship Team.
It marks the sixth time at least four F&M players earned an all-conference selection, while it's the first time this has occurred since the 2018 season. Additionally, all four players are first-time all-conference players.
Sophomore designated player/pitcher
Kate DelGrippo claimed the designated player spot on the All-Centennial Conference First Team. Among Centennial Conference players, she led the way in slugging percentage (.730) and was second in both OPS (1.149) and home runs (6). Across 63 at-bats, she totaled 21 hits, five doubles, one triple, a team-best six homers, 24 RBI, 11 runs scored, eight walks, and one sacrifice fly. DelGrippo also logged 81.1 innings across 11 starts and 16 appearances in the circle, posting the conference's ninth-best ERA (3.61) among qualifying pitchers with five wins, eight complete games, 44 strikeouts, and 11 looking strikeouts.Â
First-year catcher
Abby Favazza is the All-Centennial Conference First-Team catcher for 2026. Favazza logged 19 starts and 22 appearances. Defensively, Favazza caught six baserunners attempting to steal on 17 attempts for a .647 stolen bases allowed percentage, contributing towards the second lowest stolen bases allowed percentage (.759) in the conference. She also totaled 76 putouts, 11 assists, and recorded a perfect fielding percentage. Offensively, she hit .271/.379/.375 (.754 OPS) with 13 hits, one triple, one home run, nine RBI, eight runs scored, seven walks, three sacrifice bunts, and one sacrifice fly. Â
Senior pitcher
Ainsley McClure claims her first selection to the All-Centennial Conference teams with a spot on the Second Team. Among qualifying Centennial Conference pitchers, she ranked second in looking strikeouts (25), second in complete games (12), third in strikeouts (73), tied for fourth in wins (11) fifth in innings pitched (101.2), seventh in opponent batting average (.266) and tenth in ERA (3.72). Across 17 starts and 21 appearances, she posted an 11-5 record. McClure ended her career with the second-most looking strikeouts (72), fifth-best K/7 rate (5.24), sixth-most strikeouts (254), seventh-most wins (25), seventh-most innings pitched (339.1), ninth-lowest opponent batting average (.278), 11th-best ERA (3.05), and 12th-most complete games (29).Â
First-year infielder
Morgan Risnychok claimed the shortstop spot on the All-Centennial Conference Second Team. Among Centennial Conference hitters she ranked tied for sixth in homers (3), 8th in slugging percentage (.533), tied for 10th in RBI (27), tied for 12th in triples (2), 13th in OPS (.943), and tied for 13th in total bases (57). Across 35 starts and 36 appearances, she slashed .364 (team-best)/.410/.533 (.943 OPS) with team-highs of 39 hits, 27 RBI, and 57 total bases plus five doubles, two triples, three home runs, 21 runs scored, nine walks, one sacrifice fly, one sacrifice hit, and four stolen bases.Â
Senior catcher
Megan Wiarda is F&M's representative on the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team. She started 17 games, catching five runners attempting to steal with 73 putouts, ten assists, and a perfect fielding percentage. Offensively, she totaled six hits, two doubles, four RBI, five walks, two sacrifice bunts, and two stolen bases. She ended her F&M career with the fourth-most runners caught stealing with 15.Â
In head coach Dina Henry 94's first season, the 2026 Diplomats posted a 17-20, 9-7 Centennial Conference record, marking the team's second Centennial Conference Tournament appearance and 12th overall appearance in the postseason. 17 wins is the most in a season since the 2017 and 2018 seasons, while the nine Centennial Conference wins is the most since a 9-7 2015 performance.
