GLEN ALLEN, Va. - Franklin & Marshall's men's golf team sits
in ninth place of 11 teams in a tightly packed field at the Ted
Keller Invitational. The 36-hole tournament is hosted by
Randolph-Macon. The Diplomats are 21 shots off of first place
Christopher Newport University.
CNU has three golfers in the top five at the midway point. Ben
Culotta and Joe Evans each shot 72, par for the Hunting Hawk Golf
Course. Chris Olsen shot 73 for fifth place. The Captains' combined
for a 292 on Saturday.
Cameron Warner led the Diplomats on Saturday with a 76. His
four-over round is good for 17th place at day's end.
Danny Liebowitz is two strokes behind Warner in 27th
place. Brendan Mohler and Andrew Woods are 33rd
and 37th after 18 holes. Mohler shot 79 (+7) while Woods
shot an 80 (+8). Jeremy Rubin carded am 83 (+11) for the Diplomats.
Susquehanna's Ryan Redfern and Bridewater's (Va.) Mike Redwood
are tied for first place amongst the 60 competitors. Both shot 71
to come in one stroke under par. They will defend their lead
tomorrow when the last 18 holes are played out.
