LITITZ, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team put a wrap on the fall season with a second place finish at the Bent Creek Invitational on Monday. The Diplomats had four golfers in the top 15, but could not manage to keep the blistering pace of tournament champions, Messiah, which navigated the windy Bent Creek golf course in 303 strokes, 16 shots better than F&M.

Messiah's Matt Burkhart and Corey Wenger carded 73 and 74, respectively, to take second and third place. Burkhart's two-over round was four shots off of the 69 turned in by the tournament's medalist, Erik Thorn of Albright. The Diplomats' Andrew Woods turned in the 11^th top five finish in his 23-event career with a 76. The score left him tied with Elmira's (N.Y.) Alex Marcoux for fifth place.

Danny Liebowitz also finished in the top ten with a 78, leaving him tied with Messiah's M'Cheyne Farlling and Dan Wort for eighth place. Both Brendan Mohler and Harry Russell of the Diplomats shot 79 to finish in 11^th place along with four other golfers. Mohler represented F&M's top entry, while Russell headed up the Diplomats "White" team.

Rob Moriarty and Steve Colallilo both turned in top 30 finishes to help the "White" team to a sixth place finish amongst the tournament's 20 teams. Moriarty was 21^st overall with an 82, while Colalillo was locked up in a four-way tie for 30^th amongst the 95 entries. Josh Padwa tied for 39^th overall with an 86, while Joe Fucigna rounded out the "White" team in 76^th place. His otherwise fine round was marred by a troublesome 16^th hole.

Cameron Warner and Jeremy Rubin rounded out the Franklin & Marshall main entry. Warner wrapped his day tied for 39^th along with Padwa and eight others at 86. Rubin carded an 87 to finish in a six-way tie for 49^th.
