LAKE WALES, Fla. – Franklin & Marshall's
men's golf team opened the spring slate with a tri-match
against Webber International and Knox (Ill.) on Wednesday. The
Diplomats finished in second place with a combined 314. Webber
International won with a 295.
Danny Liebowitz shot 76 to finish in fifth place. The 76
represents his best round through six played in 2009-2010. Cameron
Warner, Andrew Woods, Brendan Mohler and Harry Russell rounded out
the Diplomats scoring team. Warner and Woods each shot 79 to finish
+7 on the par 72 Lekarica Gold Club course. They finished in a tie
for ninth amongst the 29 golfers. Mohler shot an 80 while Russell
shot an 83.
Newcomers, Mike Casico and Kevin Goserud shot an 80 and 81,
respectively, in their first rounds competing for F&M.
The Diplomats return to action next Saturday, March
27th, at the McDaniel Invitational.
