ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Brendan Mohler shot an 81 on Sunday for a 36-hole total of 160 at the McDaniel Spring Invitational. That left him tied with Wesley's Robert Ehrhardt for 17th place in the field of 75. Mohler was F&M's top finisher.
Danny Liebowitz gave back eight shots on his Saturday score for a 164 (78-86) total and a four-way tie for 30th place. Jeremy Rubin finished in a four-way tie for 36th with a 167 (81-86). Kyle Demshki of New York University was the medalist. He shot a 150 along with Muhlenberg's Zac Oyer and Swarthmore's Paul Weston. Demshki won on the match of cards.
Franklin & Marshall did not register a team score on the second day of competition. The Diplomats, who had entered the day in fourth place, saw two members of the team disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard. The disqualifications left F&M a golfer short of the four needed to produce a team score.
St. John Fisher won the event with a combined 625. The Cardinals came in five strokes ahead of Swarthmore.
The Diplomats return to action next weekend for the NCAA Regional Championship.
