HARRISBURG, Pa. – For the second year in a row, Franklin & Marshall opened its men's golf season with a win at the Messiah Falcons Classic. The Diplomats finished with 306 in the field of 17 teams at the Blue Ridge Country Club with York (310) and PSU-Harrisburg (314) rounding out the top three.
Jeremy Rubin paced the F&M squad with a three over 75, just five strokes shy of Messiah's Matt Burkhart. Dave Gilbert and Robert Svigals tied for 11th as both carded 76 on the par-72, 6,615-yard course.
Daniel Furman finished with 79 while Henry Richards finished the day at 81.
F&M returns to action on Monday when the Diplomats hosts the F&M Invitational.
