Diplomats Take Third at McDaniel

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall shaved nine strokes off its day one 311 and moved up three spots to finish third (613) at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic Sunday afternoon. Host McDaniel took the top spot with a two-day total of 604 with Gettysburg coming in second just one stroke ahead of F&M at 612.

Steven Kluemper from Centenary took medalist honors with a two under 142 (71-71).

Stephen Colodny paced the Diplomats with a sixth place finish at 149 (76-73) and Brad Lankler was two strokes behind at 151 (75-76) to finish ninth. Daniel Furman took seven strokes off his day one total 81 to come in at 155 and tied for 16th in the 74-player event.

Steve Altieri matched yesterday's score at 79 to finish at 158 while Jared Brown rounded out the F&M squad with a 167 (81-86).

F&M returns to action on Oct. 14 as the Diplomats will compete at the Lebanon Valley Invitational.
