SELLINGSGROVE, Pa. – Rebecca Swisher and Sheena Crawley both captured gold at the Susquehanna Invitational Friday evening hosted by Susquehanna University. The meet featured primarily Division III teams and was non-team scoring event.
Swisher had a height of 10'-11.75" in the pole vault and Crawley turned in a 2:15.69 in the 800-meter. Samantha Walmer took second in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.75 while Ariel Lefkovits and Alexandra Hawkins finished third and fourth respectively in the 60-meter dash. Lefkovits ran 8.53 and Hawkins finished in 8.55.
The 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams both finished second. Mallory Reed, Justis Wright, Victoria Ngo and Rachael Weiss made up the 4x800 that finished in 10:55.2 and 4x400 of Lefkovits, Sylvia Zohrabian, Crawley and Walmer came in at 4:17.33
F&M had a good showing in the field events with handful of top performances. Hannah Metheny had a distance of 36'-10.5" for second in the weight throw and Kristen Marinaccio also placed second at 15'-7.5" in the long jump. Livia Meneghin placed second in the shot put with a distance of 36'-9.5" and Stefaniak finished fifth at 34'-7".
F&M returns to action at the Ursinus Open next Saturday.
