Gilbert and Diplomats Second After Day Two

HARRISBURG – Dave Gilbert remains in second place after carding 75 (149) on the second day of the 2013 Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Golf Championship. Gilbert is six strokes off James Lillie (149) from McDaniel at Blue Ridge Country Club.  

McDaniel leads the seven-team field with a tournament record 604. The Diplomats are in second at 615 with Swarthmore coming in at 625.  

Daniel Furman shaved four strokes off his day one total and sits tied in seventh at 154 (79-75) on the par-72, 6,615-yard course. Jeremy Rubin finished with 79 strokes for a total of 156 and Robert Svigals is currently in 15th (78-80-158). Jin Hwang shot 83 for a two-day total of 160. 

The 54-hole tournament wraps up tomorrow. F&M will look to win its sixth CC Crown, fifth in the last six years, and earn the automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
