ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall kicked off its fall schedule by finishing second out of 13 teams Thursday at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational. The Diplomats combined for a 304 total, only three strokes back of McDaniel while York rounded out the top three with a 309.
Brad Lankler led the way for F&M, turning in a 73 on the par 72, 6,713-yard course to place tied for second. Steven Tanen of McDaniel took the individual title by shooting even at 72. Steve Colodny also picked up a top 10 finish for the Diplomats, closing out the day tied for sixth with a 75.
Daniel Furman placed tied for 16th with a five-over 77, followed by teammate Dave Gilbert who tied for 21st with a seven over 79. Kyle Huntzberry also competed for F&M, finishing out the Diplomat lineup with an 80.
F&M returns to action on Monday when the Diplomats host the F&M Fall Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club.
