ASHLAND, Va. – With three golfers in the top five, Franklin & Marshall leads by eight strokes midway through the Ted Keller Memorial Invitational hosted by Randolph Macon at the Hanover Country Club. The Diplomats shot 286 through the first 18 holes and hold an eight-stroke lead over Ferrum (294) while Virginia Wesleyan currently holds down the third spot at 302 in the 15-team tournament.
Brad Lankler leads the way for F&M with a two-under 68, two strokes behind tournament-leader Brandon Bailey from Ferrum. Christopher Gabriele turned in a 70 on the par-70, 6,478-yard course, while Daniel Furman finished fifth at a one-over 71 in the 74-player field.
Robert Svigals carded 77 and is tied for 25th and Stephen Colodny shot an 82 and is currently tied at 44th.
Play resumes tomorrow with the final 18-holes scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m.
