HERSHEY, Pa. – Daniel Furman finished with a two-under par to win the Spring Blue Jay Classic at the East Course at the Hershey Country Club Thursday evening. Furman shot 69 and was one of just two golfers to finish under par on the par 71, 6,299-yard course with Jordan Kirsch from Messiah finishing at 70.
The Diplomats took second in the team standings at 296, while Messiah (289) took the team title and McDaniel (303) finished third out of the 20 competing teams.
Dave Gilbert and Robert Svigals tied for 10th in the field of 105 golfers. Both carded a four-over 75 while Jon Meissner finished 19th with a 77. Henry Richards carded 80 to wrap up F&M's five golfers.
F&M returns to action on Sunday at the two-day Hershey Cup hosted at the East Course at the Hershey Country Club.
