F&M Misses Cut at NCAA Tournament

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Franklin & Marshall shaved 22 strokes off its round one 320 to finish with a 298 in the second round of the NCAA Men's Golf Tournament Wednesday evening. The Diplomats put together a two-round total of 618 to finish in 26th and missed the 15-team cut to bring a close to their season. Schreiner still leads the 41-team event with a two-over 578. 

Brad Lankler paced the Diplomats in the tournament, shaving a stroke off his day one total of 75 to finish at 74 on the par-72, 6,770-yard West Course at Grandover Resorts.  Lankler put together a two-day of 149 and tied for 53rd. Only the low-six individuals not part of an advancing team also move on to the final rounds.

Daniel Furman led F&M in round two and came in eight strokes better than his round one total and finished round two with at a one-under 71 and finished tied for 61st at 150. 

Brian Burt from Hampden-Sydney leads the 209-player field with an eight-under 136.

Stephen Colodny finished at 77 for a two-round total 158 while Robert Svigals took off 11 strokes for a 76 and finished at 163. Dave Gilbert carded 79, six better than yesterday's round of 85, and ended the tournament at 164.
