Diplomats Take Fourth at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's golf team moved up four spots and finished fourth at the two-day, 54-hole Bucknell Invitational Sunday afternoon.  The Diplomats had a three round total of 904 (321-296-287), while Dartmouth took the team title at 891, followed by Lafayette (893) and St. Francis (902). F&M was the only Division III squad in the 10-team tournament.  

Brad Lankler finished stronger in each of the three rounds, posting a 79-74 in the first two rounds and completing round three with a three-under 67 to take fifth at 220. Art Griffin from Lafayette with a three-under 207. Henry Richards had a solid performance with a 12-place finish, shooting 82-68-74 for a 224. 

Christopher Gabriele took 17th at 226, with rounds of 80-75-71 while Stephen Colodny factored into the team scoring at 237 (83-79-75). Robert Svigals rounded out the F&M five with 241 (80-81-80).

F&M returns to action Sunday at the two-day Penn State-Harrisburg Invitational.
