LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 13 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team dropped a 9-0 match against No. 1 Harvard on Monday afternoon at the Mayser Center. The defeat evened the Diplomats' record at 4-4 on the year, while the Crimson improved to 4-1.
Harvard swept each of the nine matchups in the contest. F&M's Sherilyn Yang battled at the No. 1 position but was unable to pick up a game, falling by a 3-0 score (11-9, 11-8, 11-3).
Competing at No. 4, Dulakshi Elikewela earned some points against the Crimson's Sue Ann Yong, but was swept 11-3, 1-5, 11-5, while Katherine Perry played strong at No. 5, but was upended by an 11-4, 11-3, 11-4 mark.
The Diplomats return to action on Friday when F&M hosts No. 12 Williams at 5:00 p.m.
