ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Brad Lankler tied for third place to lead Franklin & Marshall at the Mason-Dixon Classic hosted by McDaniel at the Bridges Golf Club over the weekend. The Diplomats placed fourth out of 15 teams with a two-round total of 604 (306-298) while Allegheny took the top spot at 591 (296-295).
Lankler shaved three strokes off his day one total 75 to finish at 147 on the par-71, 6,713-yard course. Jesse Clemente from Allegheny took medalist honors with a 143 (74-69).
Stephen Colodny finished in a five-way for 10th in the 77-player field, with scores of 76 and 74 for a 150. Daniel Furman improved five strokes from a 79 to 74 and finished 25th. Jon Meissner carded 154 (76-78) while Steve Altieri turned in a 161 with scores of 79 and 82.
F&M returns to action next Monday at the two-day Randolph-Macon Invitational at the Hanover Country Club.
