F&M Finishes Second at McDaniel Invite

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's golf team was edged out by St. John Fisher by one stroke, 623-624 at the second and final day of the McDaniel Spring Invitational held at the Bridges Golf Club on Sunday. The Diplomats shot the lowest round of the weekend today at 303, shaving 18 strokes off their 321 score yesterday.

Robert Svigals fired a 76, four shots better than his 80 yesterday and tied for seventh with a total of 156, while Brad Lankler greatly improved on his day one score with an impressive 70 and a 157 for the two-day event to finish tied for eighth.

Stephen Colodny improved by seven strokes from yesterday's 83 and shot a 76, giving him a two-day total of 159, which tied for 15th, and Christopher Gabriele shot an 81 and accumulated a 160 overall, good for T-17th. Daniel Furman turned in an 84 to round out the Diplomats' five, while his 163 total was tied for 34th.

F&M is back in action on Sunday at day one of the Hershey Cup at the Hershey East Country Club.
