F&M Completes Day One at NCAA Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Franklin & Marshall shot 306 and currently sits in 25th at the 2015 NCAA Men's Golf Championship hosted at the Grandover Resort Course. Methodist currently holds down the top spot at 284 in the 41-team tournament.

Stephen Colodny led the way for F&M with a two-over 74 on the par-72, 7,200-yard East Course and is currently tied for 47th. Colodny was consistent with 37 on both the front and back nine and recorded two birdies on the day. Kelby Scharmann from La Verne recorded the top score with a 66 in the 210-player field.

Brad Lankler fired a 77 with a 39 (+3) on the front and 38 (+2) on the back while Daniel Furman also carded 77 and both are tied for 89th. Furman turned in an even-par 36 on the front with two birdies and finished with a five-over 41 on the back.

Robert Svigals is tied for 114th with a six-over 78 and Christopher Gabriele rounded out the F&M five with an 81.

The Diplomats return to action tomorrow with a tee time set for 7:35 a.m. on the 6,710-yard West Course.
