Men's soccer looks to continue its torrid 9-0 start to the 2015 campaign with a pair of Centennial Conference (CC) contests this week, facing off against Ursinus at home on Wednesday, before traveling to Muhlenberg on Saturday.
Series History: The Diplomats hold a 55-18-5 series lead against the Bears. Last time out, F&M overcame an early one-goal deficit on the road to earn the 2-1 win on Sept. 30, 2014 with goals from Devon Malfitano (49th minute) and Sam Lane (57th minute).
Entering play against the Mules, F&M has a slight 31-29-4 all-time advantage, including a thrilling 1-0 2OT win on Oct. 3, 2014, when Jared Bomba's 105th minute tally lifted the Diplomats to the win.
Last Week: Two 1-0 wins a week ago allowed F&M to remain unbeaten on the season. The Diplomats edged Stevenson on Tuesday in the second overtime, before returning to conference action with a shutout on the road against Washington on Saturday.
Against Stevenson, Chase TenBrook's right-footed strike in the 102nd minute gave F&M a dramatic 1-0 2OT victory. Shots belonged to the Diplomats by a 24-7 margin, including a 15-3 edge in the second half, while corners were tied at 5-5.

Against Washington, Wyatt Fabian's first-half goal was all F&M needed Saturday night, defeating the Shoremen by a 1-0 score. The Diplomats took the lead in the 18th minute when Matthew Regueiro settled a ball played into the box and found Fabian with a pass across the face of the goal, which the sophomore centerback converted from close range.

In the Rankings: F&M moved up another spot to the No. 2 ranking in both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and D3soccer.com polls, behind only Kenyon. The Diplomats are the highest-ranked team in their region and are one of only two CC institutions on either list, with Gettysburg at No. 19 in the NSCAA ranking.
Among the Leaders (NCAA): F&M's shutdown defense ranks among the best in the nation in several statistical categories, placing 10th in goals against average (0.33) and fifth in shutout percentage (78 percent). Individually, Tonelli's three game-winning scores are the 12th most in the country.
Among the Leaders (CC): Several Diplomats find their names among the conference leaders, with TenBrook leading the team and placing third in the CC with 12 points and second with six goals.
Ugo Okolie is fourth with 11 points and four goals. Janse Schermerhorn's four assists and Okolie's three helpers place the duo in fourth and fifth, respectively, in the CC. Goalkeeper Trevor Britton stands in first, and is sixth in the nation, with his 0.23 goals against average and third in the CC with a .867 save percentage.
Record Book Watch: Britton enters the week with 25 career wins, which places him fifth on the program's all-time list. Zach Zamek '10 leads the way with 41. The senior goalkeeper's 18 shutouts are tied for second, a record that also belongs to Zamek with 25. TenBrook continues to climb the ladder in several offensive categories and currently places 13th in career points (52), 11th in career goals (22) and eighth in game-winning scores (4).
Tylus Win Streak: Entering play this week, F&M has not dropped a regular-season contest at home since Oct. 2, 2013 in a 2-1 overtime loss to Ursinus, a streak that spans 18 contests.
Regular-Season Unbeaten Streak: The Diplomats have also not lost a regular-season contest in 29 straight games, a mark that dates back to Oct. 19, 2013 in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Haverford.
