Diplomats Third at Mason-Dixon Classic

WESTMINSTER, Md. — Franklin & Marshall shaved 17 strokes off its day one total (312) with a 295 to finish third (607) at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic hosted by McDaniel at the Bridges Golf Club. Kenyon took the team title with a 589 (290-299) while McDaniel came in second in the 13-team tournament at 594 (297-297). 

Stephen Colodny took three off his first round with a 73 today to finish tied for ninth at 149. Brandon Vance from McDaniel took medalist honors with a 141 (69-72). 

Kevin McGloin fired rounds of 76 and 73 for a 151 and ended in a six-way tie for 12th in the 68-player field. Justin Lankler took 22nd after carding an 82 on Saturday before taking 11 strokes off today with a 71. Jon Meissner tied for 29th with rounds of 79 and 75 on the par-72, 6,713-yard course and Seiichiro Nakai rounded out the F&M five with a 163.  

F&M returns to action next Monday and Tuesday at the Randolph-Macon Invitational.
