ABBOTSTOWN, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall took over the top spot in the team standings after 36 of 54 holes at the 2016 Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Golf Championship Saturday at the Bridges Golf Club. The Diplomats finished at 307 for a two-round total 610 (303-307) while McDaniel and Swarthmore are tied for second at 613 and Gettysburg is fourth with a 621.
Daniel Furman and Stephen Colodny are currently tied for third. Furman shot a 79 for a two-day total 153 (74-79) and Colodny shaved seven strokes off yesterday's 80 and finished round two with a 73. Swarthmore's Vamsi Dameria currently holds the top spot with a 150.
Jon Meissner shot an 80 and dropped to sixth with a 154 (74-80) on the par-72, 6,713-yard course. Brad Lankler improved a stroke with a 77 and is in a five-way tie at tenth in the 35-player field. Jon Granville is part of the group tied for 10th after finishing at 155 (77-78).
The final round is set for tomorrow, where F&M, the two-time defending champions, will look for an unprecedented eighth Centennial crown, and seventh in the last nine years.
