ROCHCHESTER, N.Y. — Stephen Colodny placed fourth and Brad Lankler took sixth to lead the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team to a 12th place finish at the 2016 NCAA Men's Golf Championship. The team finish is the best for F&M since the tournament extended the field to its current format. 

The Diplomats finish is the highest a Centennial Conference school has placed in the tournament and the two top-10 performances were the most by any team in this year's tournament. F&M tied Transylvania with a four-round total of 1,236 with rounds of 302, 301, 320 and 313. Claremont-Muds-Scripps led the 41-team tournament from day one and won the team title at 1198. 

Colodny's fourth-place finish is the highest any Diplomat has placed in the DIII Tournament and Lankler's sixth is the second highest finish for a member of the F&M team. Colodny was three-under 300 with a four-round total of 297 as finished today's round with a 78. He competed the tournament with 44 pars, eight birdies and one eagle. Evan Cox from Virginia Wesleyan won medalist honors with a 295 (72-72-75-76).

Lankler shaved off a stroke from yesterday's 77 and shot 76 today to finish at 298 and tie for sixth in the 210-player field. He started out with a three-over on the front before picking up two birdies on the back. He had 42 pars and 10 birdies throughout the tournament. 

Daniel Furman tied for 68th after turning in a 79 in today's round on the par-72, 6,632-yard Midvale Country Club Course. Furman parred 38 holes and picked up five birdies. 

Jon Granville took 11 strokes off yesterday's score and finished with an eight-over 80. He had a 328 (79-78-91-80) over the week and Jon Meissner rounded out the F&M five with a 334 after shooting 80, 81, 86 and 87 in the four-round tournament.
