HARRISBURG, Pa. — Stephen Colodny and Ben Mitchell tied for third to lead Franklin & Marshall to the team championship at the Messiah Falcon Golf Classic held on Sunday and Monday. The Diplomats shaved 17 strokes off their round one total and ended at 607 to win the championship followed by Lebanon Valley at 617 and Messiah along with Stevenson at 630.
Colodny and Mitchell shot identical rounds of 76 and 74 and finished at 150 at Blue Ridge Golf Course. Colodny carded five birdies throughout the weekend while Mitchell turned in three birdies on both days. Messiah's Jordan Kirsch won medalist honors at 145.
Justin Lankler fired rounds of 80 and 72 and tied for sixth at 152 with seven birdies in the final round on par-72, 6,635-yard course. Seiichiro Nakai also finished in the top-10 for F&M with a 10th place finish in the 54-player field. Andrew Wooley, playing as an individual, finished just outside the top-10 in 12th place at 157 (79-78) and Jon Meissner turned in a 158 (83-75) and ended in 14th place.
F&M returns to action this weekend at the three-day Centennial Conference (CC) Championships hosted at the Bridges Golf Club.
