Diplomats Second at Revolutionary Classic

RISING SUN, Md. — Jared Berlin shot a two-day total of 142 to lead Franklin & Marshall to a second place finish at the Revolutionary Collegiate Classic hosted by Ursinus at the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.  The Diplomats ended at 594 (304-290), just one shy of Millersville (593), while Goucher was third at 613. 

Berlin shaved four strokes off his round one total of 73 with a 69 in today's round and tied Goucher's Julian Gonzalez. The tiebreaker was the back-nine total and Gonzalez's 33, just beat out Berlin's 35, to secure medalist honors.

Seiichiro Nakai tied for fifth with a 147 after firing a 74 yesterday and finishing at 73 on the par-72, 6,749-yard course. Charles Mitchell took six off yesterday's 79 with a 73 today for a 152 and tied for ninth in the field 61 golfers. Tyler Wassell had a 78 and 77 for a 155 and placed 14th and Justin Lankler was 15th after recording rounds of 81 and 75 for a 156.

F&M returns to action tomorrow when the Diplomats host the F&M Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club.
