Series History
Franklin & Marshall baseball opens a busy week against Dickinson on Tuesday, a team the Diplomats took two of three against a year ago. F&M has won the last five matchups against Dickinson in Lancaster. The all-time series against Messiah tips healthily in the Diplomats' favor as five of the last six contests have resulted in victories.
On Saturday, F&M faces Muhlenberg in a rematch of last year's Centennial Tournament where the Diplomats came away with a 9-1 victory after splitting the season series at 1-1. Historically, the 94-year-old series has been a streaky one, such as when F&M won 17 of 18 matchups from 2004-13.
The storied series against Albright resumes for the first time in 10 years. Since 1899, the Diplomats and the Lions have battled in 63 contests, where Albright holds a slight edge at 35-26-2. However, the Diplomats won 11 of the last 15 with the last matchup ending in a 16-16 tie.

Blugis Breaks Caught Stealing Record
After tossing out a pair of runners against Shenandoah on March 28th, catcher Danny Blugis set the program's all-time runners caught stealing mark and currently has 30 in his career. Pat Andrews '14 held the previous mark with 29.
Marano Ties Career RBIs Mark
With three RBIs in the Diplomats' 10-1 win over McDaniel on Saturday, senior first baseman Dan Marano tied the program's career RBIs record with 108. Jason Anderson '10 is tied with Marano for the top spot.
Milestones to Watch
Marano has notched 166 hits in his career, a mark that places fifth all-time in program history. David Iacobucci '17 leads the way with 181. With 33 career doubles, Marano places sixth. Scott Haft '05 tops the category with 45. His eight home runs are good for seventh among career leaders with Haft pacing the field with 14.
Danny Blugis has registered nine career saves, which places third all-time. Andrew Mascis '18 leads the way with 16.
Fellow starters Jack Buckley and Jonathan Cole have worked their way into the all-time strikeouts list with 120 and 144 in their careers, respectively - which place the duo 12th and 13th among program leaders. Todd Marshall has held the top mark of 220 since graduating in 1992.
Horning Nears Program Wins Record
Sixth-year head coach Ryan Horning enters the week just three wins shy of becoming the program's all-time winningest coach. Brett Boretti, who was at the helm of F&M baseball from 2001-05, leads the way with a 116-82 record during his tenure.
With wins of 3-2 and 10-4 in a doubleheader sweep of Hampden-Sydney on Feb. 24, Horning reached the 100-win plateau for his career.
