Series History

Franklin & Marshall squares off with NJAC-foe William Paterson this week for the 10th and 11th time in series history. The two have met in Wayne, N.J. on only one other occasion with the Diplomats claiming a 9-5 road triumph in 2005. 

Schedule Change

Sunday's doubleheader against William Paterson, originally scheduled for a Saturday start, was moved to Sunday. Game times will remain the same.

Last Week 

F&M dropped a pair of games against one of the nation's toughest teams in Penn. St.-Harrisburg to open the 2020 season on Saturday. The Diplomats (0-2) fell by a 15-7 score in game one before coming up short by a 6-4 tally in the nightcap at War Memorial Stadium in Ephrata. The Nittany Lions were ranked No. 24 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's 2020 Preseason Poll. Recap.

Milestones to Watch

J.J. Freeman has totaled seven home runs in his career, a mark which places tied for 10th on the program's all-time list. Scott Haft '05 leads with 14. 

Jonathan Cole's 14 wins are tied for 10th. Ted Serro '06 tops the list with 20. Cole is climbing the strikeout list as well and currently has 167 in his career, which is good for sixth. Todd Marshall '92 leads the way with 220. 

100 Hit Club 

J.J. Freeman enters the week just two hits shy of reaching 100, while junior classmate  Kelsey Launi is close behind with 90 throughout his career. Justin Cavegn is closing in on the milestone as well, with 77 career hits.

Cole Named Preseason All-American

Senior right-hander, Jonathan Cole was named to the D3baseball.com 2020 Preseason All-America First Team. To read more, click here.   

Centennial Preseason Poll 

F&M was one of just three Centennial programs to garner votes in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Preseason Poll, joining No. 14 Johns Hopkins and Swarthmore. Defending-champion Johns Hopkins was picked to finish first with six, first-place votes while Swarthmore was slated to finish second with four, first-place votes.
