LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team doubled up on its fun Sunday afternoon with a pair of team titles during the split weekend of competition. The Diplomats trimmed eight shots off of their opening day at the Gino Biondi Memorial Tournament to win that event by a single stroke over Scranton. F&M's team at the Cardinal Classic recorded the best team score for the second consecutive day, winning that tournament by 16 strokes.
Cardinal Classic
In addition to the team championship at Catholic, the Diplomats also had the medalist as Roy Anderson went one-over par on Sunday to finish at an even par (144) on the par-72 Black Rock Golf Course. He won the event by one stroke. The medalist honors mark the first of the sophomore's career as his previous best finish was a runner-up showing during his rookie campaign during the 2022 Centennial Conference Championships.
Right behind him were three of his teammates as Matt Durnan and Jack Cooley both tied for fourth place, while Chris Magliocco finished sixth. Durnan and Cooley were both five-over for the tournament. Durnan shot 75 on Sunday, while Cooley finished his day two with a 79 after going two-under on Saturday. Magliocco tied with Anderson for the team's best score on Sunday as his round of 73 moved him up the leaderboard. Will Livingston was one shot better than his first round, carding a 76 on Sunday, as he finished in 11th place for the tournament.
The Diplomats continued to dominate the field in par-5 scoring (-16) as they were 12 shots clear of their closest competition. F&M was also nine strokes better than the rest of the field on par-4 holes, recording a tournament-best 33 birdies throughout the weekend. Anderson and Cooley tied for the tournament lead with eight birdies, with Duran (7), Magliocco (6), and Livingston (4) also finishing in the red on a number of holes. Livingston additionally recorded one of just three eagles for the tournament.
Gino Biondi Classic
Franklin & Marshall shot 295 (+11) as team on Sunday to rally past Scranton as every single team in the field lowered its score from the first round during an extremely competitive round. Finishing the weekend at (+30), the Diplomats were trailing by a single stroke entering Sunday's round before the second round rally.
Dylan Gallagher and Shane Lawler both had huge turnaround days for the Diplomats. Gallagher had the second-best round on Sunday (E; 71) to finish his tournament at six-over and in the runner-up position. Lawler owned the best round, firing one-under for the day to finish at in a tie for fourth (+8).
Dominic Sculti finished in third for the individual standings after shooting 77 on Sunday and finishing at +7 for the tournament. Jas Fuhrer gave the Diplomats four among the top seven individuals over the weekend as he also fired a 77 to finish +10 for his weekend. Chris Dorey posted another 79 to finish at +16 and claim the 12th place individual finish.

Men's golf wraps up a busy three-day stretch at the F&M Invitational tomorrow on the Bent Creek Country Club. Twelve Diplomats are set for a 12 p.m. shotgun start in what will be the team's final event of the fall season.
