Diplomats Continue Dominance At CC Championship On Day Two

HERSHEY, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall continued its dominance at the Centennial Conference Championship, now pacing the field by 17 strokes. The Diplomats shot a combined round of 286 to sit just seven strokes above par through two days at Hershey Country Club.

Dominic Sculti stayed atop of the individual leaderboard, now at -3 for the tournament after a second round 71. He sits three strokes apart from Colin McMahon-Shea of Dickinson, who shot a Saturday-best -2 to climb back to even-par.

Roy Anderson and Jas Fuhrer stayed within striking distance of their teammate, ending the day in third and a tie for fourth, respectively.

Sculti recovered well after a triple bogey on seven, sinking birdies on six of seven holes starting at the ninth. His two-under back nine finished him with a 71 on the day to remain in first place.

Anderson matched his 71 from Friday, buoyed by three birdies on the front nine. Fuhrer stayed in a tie for fourth following a three-over 73 on Saturday.

Shane Lawler and Mike Gallagher find themselves in ties for 16th and 19th place following round two. Lawler shot a one-over 71 - a ten shot improvement from his 81 the day before. Gallagher went the opposite direction, shooting +7 on his first eight holes before finishing with an 81.

Round Three will see the Diplomats starting off at 11:03 a.m. in Hershey, as Sculti works in the eighth threesome of the day. Mike Gallagher follows at 11:12 a.m., Shane Lawler at 11:21 a.m., Roy Anderson at 11:30 a.m., and Jas Fuhrer finishing the day with a 11:39 a.m. tee time.
