F&M In 18th Entering NCAA Championship Final Round

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- Franklin & Marshall men's golf sits in 18th place following the third round of the NCAA Championship. The Diplomats finished with a 316 (+28) on their second straight day playing the El Campeon course.

Roy Anderson and Jas Fuhrer both paced the Diplomats with 77s on the par-72 course. Both players finished off their days with a pair of birdies after the turn, as Fuhrer birdied holes seven and nine, while Anderson did the same on one and seven. Fuhrer and Anderson are just three spots away from each other in the standings, as Anderson sits in a tie for 63rd, while Fuhrer falls in a tie for 66th.

Shane Lawler continues to be F&M's best golfer by a pair of strokes, finishing with an 81 on day three. Lawler opened the day with a birdie to finish the first nine holes just one-over par. He now finds himself in a tie for 52nd, shooting +15 in the tourney.

Michael Gallagher and Dominic Sculti shot 81 and 84 on the day to round out the Diplomat effort. Gallagher's eagle on the par-5, 500 yard first highlighted his afternoon. The eagle was the second time an F&M golfer shot two-under on a hole, tied for tops in the tournament. Gallagher and Sculti currently sit at +25 and +27 after day three.

F&M finishes off its stretch at the NCAA Championship on Friday starting with Dominic Sculti teeing off at 7:30 a.m.
