CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team placed both its "A" team and "B" team inside the top-three for the team standings while competing at the Dickinson College Fall Invitational, held at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club, Saturday morning. The Diplomats' "B" team finished with a team total of 296 to place second, while the "A" closely followed with a team score of 297 to tie for third in the field of 15 teams.
Millersville took home the team title – shooting a 288 to finish even-par.
Three Diplomats placed within the top-10 of the individual standings, led by
Roy Anderson and
Chris Dorey each shooting two-under par to share a tie for third place in the field of 82 competitors. The 70-round score is two strokes lower than Anderson's season-average.
Matt Tressler finished two-over par to place tied for ninth in the tournament.
Dominic Sculti shot three-over par to end the day tied for 12th.
Jack Cooley,
Shane Lawler,
Will Livingston, and
Max Silverman shot a 76 to finish the invitational in a 13-way tie for 19th place.
Matt Durnan and
David McNamara rounded out both F&M teams as both golfers shot an 86 to end the day tied for 61st.
Franklin & Marshall now prepares for its home invitational at Bent Creek Country Club on Monday at noon.
