WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team is in a four-way tie for first place after day one of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic. Hosted at the Waynesboro Country Club, the Diplomats posted a team score of 297.
Franklin & Marshall's score of 297 has the Diplomats tied with Gettysburg, Roanoke, and Stevenson. In total, 10 of the 19 teams in the field are within five shots of the lead heading into Sunday's final round.
Roy Anderson and Shane Lawler posted the team's low rounds on Saturday as they each first one-over 73s and sit in a tie for 11th place out of 95 players in the field. Max Silverman also finds himself among the top 20 individuals with his opening round score of 75.
Just one shot behind Silverman is teammate Dominic Sculti who finished with a round of 76 for the team's fourth score. Will Livingston carded a 79 during Saturday's first 18 holes of the tournament.
