LANCASTER, Pa. - For the first time since 2019, the Franklin & Marshall Field Hockey team had multiple NFHCA All-Americans, with
Carolina Riley making second-team and
Darby Klopp making third-team. It is also just the 11th time in program history with at least two players receiving All-American honors in a single season.
Her second straight year being named an All-American, Riley was a significant contributor on the defensive line as well as in the midfield, starting in each of the team's eight shutouts on the season. She also helped limit opposing teams to third lowest goals allowed average (1.21) in the conference. Offensively, the senior scored once and ranked sixth in the conference in assists with six. With 17 of her 25 shots put on the goal, Riley had the highest shot on goal percentage (.680) on the team among players with at least 20 shots. She is now the 10th player in program history to become at least a two-time All-American.
Klopp earned All-American honors for the first time in her career, highlighting a season with a pair of goals and a team-high seven assists. Her seven helpers also ranked third in the conference, three of which came in a 5-0 win over McDaniel on October 25, marking a career-high for the Delaware native. Other awards for Klopp this season include NFHCA First-team All-Region and First-team All-Centennial Conference.
