CARLISLE, Pa. – Led by Michael Gallagher's top-10 finish, the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team placed fifth out of seven teams competing at the Dickinson Spring Invite, held at Carlisle Barracks Golf Course. After playing 36 holes, Gallagher shot two-over par to land tied for seventh out of 42 competitors in the individual standings. The 146 score is the senior's best score at a tournament this season as he shot a 149 at the George Cangero Invitational during the fall.
Chris Magliocco and Simon Murray both carded a four-over par to tie each other for 13th. Magliocco tallied a 75 in round one and 73 in round two to finish with an overall score of 148. Murray bounced back from an 80 in round one – shooting a 68 for the fourth-lowest round score on the day.
Matt Durnan recorded a 10-over par to end his day tied for 25th. Will Livingston rounded out the F&M competitors with a 19-over par to finish tied for 38th in the field.
Franklin & Marshall now gets set to host the F&M Invitational on Monday at Bent Creek Country Club, starting at noon.
