Men's Golf Sits in Second After Opening Round of Gettysburg Spring Shootout

Fayetteville, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team placed two golfers in the top 10 of the individual standings while posting a team score of 301 to end the opening round of the Gettysburg Spring Shootout in second place out of 10 teams competing on Saturday.

Michael Gallagher led the Diplomats with a 73 to shoot one-over par, ending the day tied for fourth place in the field of 52 competitors. Dylan Gallagher ended the round two-over par to place tied for seventh in the individual standings. Jas Fuhrer shot four-over par to finish tied for 11th, while Jack Cooley carded a 78 to end the day tied for 18th. Shane Lawler rounded out the F&M competitors as he shot an 84 to end the opening round tied for 42nd in the field.

F&M looks to make a final push at Swarthmore on Sunday as the Garnet currently hold a team score of 299 to lead the Gettysburg Spring Shootout.
