PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 21 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team was stifled, 9-0, by No. 15 Georgetown on the second day of the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championships Saturday morning. F&M drops to 6-13 overall, while the Hoyas improve to 11-6.
The Hoyas were ruthless in the individual matches – sweeping the Diplomats in seven of nine bouts.
Gurlin Kaur (No. 1) earned an 11-7 victory in the first game of her match to jump out to an early lead. However, her opponent rolled to three-straight wins to claim the individual victory.
Tatum Long (No. 6) faced a 1-0 deficit in the No. 6 slot, but fought back to tie the match up with an 11-7 win in the second game. Despite the comeback, the Hoya won the next two games, 11-3 and 11-4, to take the match victory.
Franklin & Marshall looks to end the MASC Championships on a positive note when it battles No. 22 Dickinson on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
