ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - After the first day of the competition was canceled, the Franklin & Marshall Women's Golf team claimed first place at the McDaniel Spring Invitational. 

With three of their five golfers finishing inside of the top-eight, Reilly Melvin led the Diplomats with a score of 86, good for second place in the individual standings. Just behind her was Janire Vela, who shot an 89 and came in fourth place. 

Claire Hill was tied for eighth place with a score of 96. Rounding out F&M was Chloe Schnur and Lauren Simpson, who shot 102 and 112, respectively.

Following a two-week break, the Diplomats will next compete at the Dickinson College Invitational from April 6-7.
