WASHINGTON, N.J. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team carded a 292 in round two of the Garden State Collegiate Classic to bring its total score to 610 – earning a first-place finish out of the 10 teams competing. The win is F&M's fifth of the season and second so far this spring.
Max Silverman was the top-finisher for the Diplomats as he scored 149 for the tournament to place third in the field of 54 competitors.
Roy Anderson made a strong push in the second round with a 70 to finish a stroke behind Silverman in fourth place.
Shane Lawler concluded the weekend nine-over par for the tournament to finish in a tie for seventh.
Jack Cooley shot a 78 on day two to bring his score to 158 and tie for 15th place.
Dominic Sculti shot 171 in the two-round event to end the weekend in a tie for 41st.
Franklin & Marshall looks to continue its momentum when it hosts its home invitational at Bent Creek Country Club on Monday, starting at noon.
