LITITZ, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team came away with a victory in its home invitational Monday afternoon at Bent Creek Country Club. The Diplomats' "Blue" Team shot two-under par for the tournament to take home first place in the field of 13 teams. F&M's "White" Team carded a score of 21-over par to place fifth in the team standings.
Roy Anderson of F&M's "Blue" Team was crowned the individual winner as he shot a season-low round score of 66 (five-under par) to top the field of 69 competitors.
Max Silverman finished close behind as he ended the day one-under par to tie for second.
Shane Lawler concluded the round even-par to finish in a tie for fourth place.
Jack Cooley and
Dominic Sculti each carded a 73 to share a tie for 11th place.
Chris Dorey led the F&M "White" Team as he notched a 73 to end the day tied for seventh.
Matt Tressler shot a 75 in the 18-hole tournament to hold a tie for 11th.
David McNamara ended his day tied for 23rd after he concluded the round with a score of 78.
Matt Durnan closely followed with a score of 79 to tie for 25th.
Chris Magliocco rounded out the Diplomats "White" Team with an 84 to place tied for 40th.
Neal Lavelle ended his day with a final tally of 80 to close out the tournament tied for 32nd.
Will Livingston concluded the round with an 88 to finish in a tie for 50th.
The win marks the fourth-consecutive spring home invitational that F&M has won, stretching back to 2021.
Franklin & Marshall looks to continue its winning streak when it competes in the Gettysburg Spring Shootout, beginning on Saturday at 8:00 a.m.
