WAYNESBORO, Pa. - In the opening round of the Centennial Conference Championships, the Franklin & Marshall Women's Golf team posted a score of 382, putting them in third place of the team standings.
Individually,
Reilly Melvin led the way with a score of 90 and a par of +18, which was tied for 11th place in the leaderboard. Two strokes behind her was
Janire Egana Vela, who was tied for 13th with a score of 92 and a par of +20.
Claire Hill landed in the top-20 with a score of 96 and a par of +24.
Chloe Schnur ended the day in 24th after registering a score of 104 and a par of +32. Making her conference championship debut,
Lauren Simpson was tied for 30th with a score of 113 and a par of +41.
Trailing just Marymount and Gettysburg in the standings, the Diplomats will hope to improve their position on day two of the championships, set to begin at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.
